Honey & Orange Glazed Duck
BOOOOOOOOOM!!! I'm back after a week of cycling in Mallorca I had to come back with a winning meal that would have you salivating at the very thought of eating this gorgeous recipe, meat that melts in the mouth, tastebuds left with withdrawel symptoms moments after touching your lips!
There aren't many foods that can leave you in a sobbing mess like your girlfriend just left you but THIS honey & orange glazed roasted duck breast would even bring the might of He-man to his knees!!
Recipes need to be easy, you want to come in kick of your shoes and relax so something that takes minimal time but gives maximal taste will really help you relax so much more!
I found these ducks breasts reduced 1/3 off so I thought bargain! Be smart, shop by what meat's are on offer. This will also ensure you're varying the food you're having
So let's get makin' & bakin'
This recipe requires a oven proof frying pan i.e a metal handle

INGREDIENTS
- Duck Breast
- 1 Orange
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp apple vinegar or white wine vinegar
- Salt & Pepper
- Thyme

HEAT your oven to 190C or 375F
CUT across your duck breast skin in a cross hatch pattern ensuring you slightly cut the breast through the skin
GENEROUSLY salt & pepper the skin
FRY in a non stick pan on a medium heat skin side DOWN till golden brown (do not fry the non skin side)

*While it frys make glaze*
COMBINE all other ingredients in a bowl except orange
GRATE the zest of your orange into the mixture
SQUEEZE the juice of the orange in and mix all together
TAKE pan of the heat
FLIP the breast over and baste with your glaze

POP in the oven for 5mins
DONE – 5mins for rare, 10mins for medium, 15 for well done – Personally it’s best rare!
DEVOUR!!
AHHHHHHHH!! honestly I thought it would be good but this is divine! I ended up eating the whole breast! It upset me I couldn’t share the other one with someone *tears in eyes* the sweet, zesty glaze goes perfectly with the succulent and tender duck!
