Satay Broccoli
Spicing your life up satay style! Everyone loves a bit of Thai or Chinese food and it’s such a shame it has such unhealthy connotations especially with those really cheap pre made sauces you can get from the supermarket!
BUT here we are homemade Satay Sauce BOOOOOM! Really inexpensive to make it’s a beauty! I’ve done mine with Broccoli they’re just been created to have with each other and it’s a great way to get some FLAVOUR to your meals unless you want to be boring and just have chicken and broccoli because just eating that gets you lean right? Ha fail!

INGREDIENTS (for two people)
- Ingredients for 1-2 florets of broccoli;
- 1tsp peanut butter
- ½ onion (it escaped the photo)
- 1tbsp sesame seed oil
- 2tsp soy sauce (soy and onion were eloping together)
- 1 Clove garlic
- ½ tsp honey
- Pinch salt and chilli flakes
- 1-2 tbsp of coconut milk


BAKE broccoli florets in oven @ 180C fan assisted for 25mins
HEAT sesame oil in pan
ADD finely chopped onion and garlic HEAT till golden
ADD soy sauce, honey and peanut butter HEAT till caramelised
SLOWLY add coconut milk a bit at a time till you get the consistency you want


SERVE broccoli
POUR satay sauce over
AHHHHHHHHHH damn that tastes so damn good! Just like a bought’un! You could obviously use this sauce on anything, a glaze for chicken, stir-fry, by the power of Grey Skull is it EPICNESS.
