Turmeric Tea Tonic

Today is all about tonics!! I want to show you how to make something that you can wake up and have that is so much tastier but also has so many more benefits than say having your typical morning coffee!

"A herbal tonic is used to help restore, tone and invigorate systems in the body or to promote general health and well being"

I love coffee as much as the next person, it tastes great and obviously has an awesome kick to get you going, but it's precisely that reason I feel that it gets over used and abused.. You shouldn't wake up and feel the NEED for coffee you should be able to wake up on your own! You may be surpised at how much you rely on it too I've had several new clients recently stop coffee and had headaches from the come down and cutting this mild addiction to caffeine.

So with this new tonic you can revitalise and rejuvinate your body in the right way getting you prepped and ready for the day!

TUMERIC!! This is what we're using to make this tonic and maybe you didn't know but it's actually such an amazing ingredient!

One of the main components of turmeric is curcumin, this has been studied and found to help many thingswith it being mentioned in over 7000 studies on pubmed, though here are a few benefits I know of;

Oh a word to the wiser, though turmeric is amazing good for you do avoid large doses of the tea – no more than one cup is needed really anyway – if you have gallstones, bleeding disorders, overly acidic stomach or are pregnant or nursing. The following recipe yield 4 cups and can be drank in one day without any side effects.
