September (Seasonal Food)

BOOM!! It’s September! DAMN! The year is flying by! It’s coming into autumn, farmers are our ploughing the fields for the new cycle, but whats best is September is the month where British seasonal food is at it’s peak! We’ve got the last of the summer produce and the beginning of the autumn winter!

“Thus harvest ends its busy reign,
And leaves the fields their peace again.”

Short  quote from a book I’m reading at the moment refering to September!

September also signifies the beginning of Jam making season and Corrr I do love some  good’ol homemade jam, And as such I will be making some for you guys this month!
The game season is also getting on it’s way now too, but with it being so early, we’re best of letting those gorgeous meats get a bit more exercise before we go a’huntin!!
But most of all British plums!! Our plums are exquisite! So make the most of it and get involved with getting great British produce and support our farms and orchards.
