Citrus Cuban Pork
It’s all about being fresh, and zesty with the weather getting hotter we want light refreshing meals! Today we have some gorgeous citrus ham that is high in protein perfect to have in a wrap or with rice, tacos whatever you want especially if you've been active all day or have them with a gorgeous feta, green bean and sun-dried tomato salad!
Wow friends and family with it at a BBQ or cook in the oven and enjoy in the garden like a champion among men!
- Pork Shoulder
- 2-3 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp garlic powder and chilli
- 2 tsp cumin and dried oregano
- Generous salt and pepper
- Juice of 2 oranges and 3 limes
- 1 Sliced onion
- 1tbsp Apple Cyder vinegar (optional)
CUT the fat off the top of the shoulder
MASSAGE all your dry ‘erbs into the shoulder – really get them in there
PUT in a ziplock bag or any container you have
ADD rest of ingredients
MARINADE for 8hours or ideally overnight -turn over before bed
BOOM ok OPTIONS
WHACK on the old BBQ and cook with gorgeous zesty flavours OR
SLOW cook in a slow cooker or oven safe pot with lid and half the juice @ 150C for about 3 hours
Gorgeous, tender, succulent, morsels of meat that leave you just on the edge of your seat with pure joy and excitement! AHHHHHH it’s so damn good! Cook it! You have to! Next weekend try something exotic!
